As we know now, the January 6th insurrection was a success. It's not at all clear to a lot of us why Donald Trump wasn't brought to justice such that it would be inconceivable for him to be the Republican Party nominee for President - again - but he wasn't. And although all and sundry blame the Harris/Walz campaign, the fact is it raised more money than ever before in history and had a lot of momentum. Trump and Vance, in Stephen Harper level makeup complete with foundation, blush, lip liner and gloss, eyeliner and shadow, barely campaigned. And yet the closer it got to election day the more it looked like none of it mattered. CBC Ottawa went to border towns to interview people on the street and it was clear Americans were all in once again for this obvious traitor to their country.
We all watched him lead the insurrection from his bunker, ffs. His treason was televised.
